This is an acrylic painting on a 24 x 24 inch canvas. I used Turquoise, Indanthrone Blue, Cobalt Blue, Pyrrole Red, Azo Gold, Black, and White, blending the hues on a palette to create different shades, build subtle transitions, and produce some unexpected mixes. The paint was applied with a palette knife to add physical structure and to spread the tones unevenly, creating varied textures and dynamic effects across the surface while forming random, improvised shapes. The piece was varnished in a satin finish to give a gentle sheen and to protect the work. Completed February 2026.
